# Clients and the Client Portal

> For agencies: keep each customer's work separate and give them a read-only view of their inbox and results.

Clients are optional. If you run outreach for several companies, create one client per customer. Senders, leads, lists and sequences can then belong to a client, and filters throughout the app let you work on one client at a time.

<Note>
  The client portal is included on the **Agency** and **Agency Plus** plans. See [Billing](/subscription-and-billing/subscription-management).
</Note>

## Manage clients

Only **Owners** and **Managers** can manage clients. Go to **Clients**:

* **New client**: enter a **Name**, a **Slug** (filled in from the name and used in links and exports; letters, digits and dashes) and a **Timezone**.
* The table shows each client's active senders, leads and sequences.
* **Delete** keeps the client's senders, leads and sequences but unassigns them. Client viewers scoped to that client lose access.

## Give a customer access

<Steps>
  <Step title="Invite them as a Client viewer">
    In [Settings → Members](/subscription-and-billing/team-management), invite them with the **Client viewer** role and set their **Client scope** to their one client.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Decide whether they can reply">
    **Can reply** is on by default. Turn it off if they should only read.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Share the portal">
    From the Clients table, **Open client viewer** shows exactly what they'll see.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What the client sees

The portal shows the client's name and timezone, and these stats, which refresh every minute:

* **Leads**
* **Live enrollments** (and number of senders)
* **Invites (30d)** (and accepted)
* **Replies (30d)** (and messages and interested)

Below the stats is a **Conversations** list for that client's senders. If they're allowed to reply, their answers are sent from the sender that owns the conversation. If that sender is disconnected, the reply is refused.

They can also open **Reports**, scoped to their own client, with the Cost tab hidden. Those are the same numbers you see on the [Clients tab](/reports/reports-overview) of your own Reports page — there is only one set.

Client viewers never see senders, sequences, tasks, AI review, other clients or settings that don't apply to them.

## Scheduled client reports

Under **Reports → Schedules**, add a **Client report** on a weekly or monthly cadence. It is emailed to that client's viewers, with your branding and from your address if you have set one up.

## Put your own name on it

With [white-label](/agencies-and-clients/white-label) you can give the portal your logo, product name, accent colour and support links, host it at `reports.agency.com`, and hide our name entirely.
