# Warm-Up Best Practices for New Sender Profiles

> How new senders warm up, and what you can do to help them reach higher limits safely.

Every new LinkedIn sender starts slowly. The platform raises its daily limits step by step as the account proves it's healthy. This protects the account from being restricted by LinkedIn.

## How warm-up works

* LinkedIn senders start at **level 0**: 4 invitations, 5 messages and 10 profile views a day.
* Mailboxes start at **level 3**.
* A sender moves up one level after **14 days in a row at health 85 or above**.
* Accounts with **fewer than 150 connections**, or an unknown count, stay at level 0 for at least **28 days**.
* **Free LinkedIn accounts can't go above level 1.**
* Level 5, the highest, allows 45 invitations and 60 messages a day.

See the full table in [Smart Limits & Account Safety](/getting-started/platform-overview/smart-limits-and-account-safety#warm-up-levels).

## Best practices

1. **Connect early.** The warm-up clock starts when the sender connects, so connect accounts before you need them.
2. **Keep the account active by hand too.** Accounts that post, comment and accept invitations normally look more natural.
3. **Write invitations people accept.** A low acceptance rate lowers the health score. Target the right audience and keep the first touch personal, with no pitch.
4. **Don't start with a big burst.** Sending a lot after days of silence lowers the **Consistency** score. Let the platform ramp volume up.
5. **Keep working hours realistic.** Use normal weekday hours in the sender's real timezone. See [Sender's Schedule Explained](/senders/senders-schedule-explained).
6. **Keep the proxy in the owner's country.** Changing it often, or to the wrong country, hurts account health.
7. **Deal with checkpoints quickly.** If LinkedIn asks for a verification code, enter it on the sender page. Repeated checkpoints lower the **Verification** score.

## Q: Can I skip warm-up for an established account?

No. Every account goes through warm-up, but an established account with 150+ connections and good health will move up a level every 14 days.
