LinkedIn ends sessions from time to time. Without the extension, the account owner has to log in again each time. With it, the platform reconnects on its own, using the session cookie from the owner’s browser.

What it does

  • It runs in the account owner’s own Chrome.
  • It syncs the LinkedIn session cookies and browser details every 3 hours, and immediately whenever LinkedIn changes the cookie.
  • Cookies are encrypted when stored.
  • It never sees the owner’s password.
  • Its pairing token only allows uploads for one sender.
  • It refuses to sync if a different LinkedIn account is logged in.
It applies to LinkedIn senders only. Mailboxes stay connected through OAuth.

Set it up

Issue a pairing token

A Manager opens the sender’s Extension tab and clicks Generate pairing token.
The token is shown once. Copy it straight away and send it to the account owner over a private channel.

Install the extension

The account owner opens chrome://extensions, turns on Developer mode, clicks Load unpacked, and selects the extension folder they were given.

Pair it

They paste the token into the extension and press Pair.

Stay logged in

They stay logged in to LinkedIn with the same account and leave Chrome running.
Pairing tokens can only be issued while Cookie-mode opt-in is on under Settings → Workspace. It’s on by default.

Revoke access

  • Regenerate pairing token stops the old token from working immediately. Cookies already stored are kept.
  • To remove everything, disable the sender with Purge stored secrets ticked.
