An auto-enrol rule says: when a lead joins list X and matches filter Y, enrol them in this sequence. Paired with a repeating import, a campaign keeps itself fed, and the “sender ran out of leads” problem disappears. Open Auto-enrol from the sequence top bar. Only Owners and Managers can add rules.

Building a rule

All filters are optional and all must match. Leave them empty and every lead joining the list is enrolled.

How it runs

  • Rules run every 10 minutes, and again promptly when a lead joins a list.
  • Rules only run while the sequence is active.
  • Each run stops at the rule’s daily cap.

What it can never do

A rule enrols through exactly the same checks as enrolling by hand. It cannot reach a lead that you could not enrol yourself:
  • Suppressed leads, do-not-contact leads and unsubscribed leads are skipped.
  • Leads that replied to anyone in the last 90 days are skipped.
  • Leads already live in this sequence with that sender are skipped.
  • Sender caps, warm-up, working hours and health apply as usual.

Watching it

Recent activity under the rules list shows each run, how many leads it enrolled, and anything it skipped. A run with a Count failed note means the rule’s filters could not be evaluated — usually a stage or list that was deleted. The sequence’s running-dry alert still applies, so if the rule stops feeding the campaign you hear about it.

A worked setup

  1. Import a LinkedIn search into the list Founders — Berlin, and set Repeat to weekly. Only new people are added each run.
  2. Add a rule on the sequence: trigger on Founders — Berlin, title contains founder, daily cap 30.
  3. Leave it. New people found each week are enrolled at up to 30 a day, inside every sender limit.
